HISTORY
Faith Specialized Care Services, Inc., was established in December 2009 by Lydia Hodge. Lydia currently owns and operates Faith AFC Inc., in Michigan. Lydia Hodge started her career at Family Tyes AFC Home in 1993. She advanced to at Family Tyes from Home Manager to Administrator. This work experience was the foundation to the development of Faith AFC. Faith AFC Inc., currently has five locations with the capacity for 26 residents.

Faith Specialized Care Services, Inc (FSCS) goal is to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and provide needed services and supports for persons with co-existing mental health needs.

Faith Specialized Care Services, Inc., will utilize local community resources including public schools, local museums, shopping centers, local parks, recreation centers & mental health services.
SERVICES
SUPPORTED LIVING
-
Provides individualized supports and services that are designed to accommodate the abilities and needs of each supported individual.

Provides Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to give supported services to service recipients in supported living home.

Provides quality support for individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or mental health disabilities.​
COMMUNITY BASED DAY
-
Provides opportunities for individuals to participate in individualized activities that are productive and meaningful utilizing their Individualized Support Plan (ISP).
RESIDENTIAL HABILITATION
-
Provides supports to service recipients, promoting opportunities for service recipients to make choices in life skills development, while participating in activities within the community.
Faith Specialized Care Services, Inc.
Staff shall:
-
Assist the service recipients in activities of daily living, supportive rehabilitative services and provide them with daily on-going activities and supervision in a safe environment.

Accompany the service recipients on outings and appointments based on their individualized support plan and health care needs.

Administer medication as prescribed by their physician.

engage the service recipients in participating in "in-house" activities such as games, movies, music, arts & crafts, hygiene. Enhance social and communication skills, basic math and money management skills.

Engage the service recipients in activities within the community such as shopping, restaurants, church, movies and community centers.
